Since its inception in 2oo2, Amigos has sterilized 12,304 animals
Totals for January-June 2012:
- Dogs Sterilized: 368
- Cats Sterilized: 159
- Total Dogs and Cats Sterilized: 527
- Dogs Adopted from the Pound: 92
- Dogs Euthanized by Ecología: 413
We must continue to increase sterilizations, so that in the long run, these high euthanasia numbers can be greatly reduced. Dogs brought to the Pound have only a few days to live before being put down by Ecología unless Amigos and Adopciones de Amigos are able to find homes for them.
